Prince Harry's Absence from Queen's Final Moments Unexplained

About an hour after Buckingham Palace announced Queen Elizabeth II's passing, Prince Harry arrived to Balmoral Castle.

While Prince William had earlier flown from RAF Northolt with other royals, including Prince Andrew and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Duke of Sussex left Meghan Markle in London and travelled up to Scotland alone.

After the official announcement was made at 6.30 p.m. to the media, Harry was seen coming in the shadows. U.K. time.

At first, it was believed that he had boarded an earlier flight to Aberdeen Airport with other royals such Prince William, Prince Andrew, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

It was first believed Meghan Markle would accompany him during the frantic hours leading up to the ceremonial announcement, but it later became clear he would travel alone. The duchess still has a later trip to Scotland scheduled.

The Queen passed away peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace. "The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will travel to London tomorrow," it added.

Prince Harry has always made it clear that the queen, with whom he has consistently claimed to have a cordial relationship, was not included in his previous critiques of the royal family.

It was just so good to see her, he told NBC in April. She is performing well. She always has a wonderful sense of humour with me.
